London's Run
I did my first 10k last Saturday. I did it with my sister Lora, nephew Zack and friends Julie, Scott and Bonnie. My time was 1:03:33. I was hoping for an hour , but I'm happy with the time I got. I'm also glad I ran the whole thing. There were a few times a wanted to walk but I didn't want to give up, I knew I could do it.
Here we are after our race.
(by the way: Zack did the 1/2 marathon)
Pinewood Derby
Here is Levi with his Pinewood Derby car. Guess what, I helped him with it. It's my first one I've ever done, can you tell? We went online to find designs we could do. He was finding ones that would be too hard for me, then we found the truck one and I thought that would be the easiest one because it had straight cuts. It was pretty easy. Maybe next time I'll try to do the harder ones.
He got third place!!

Youth Olympics
Our ward along with Desert Palms Ward is no longer part of the Glendale North Stake, we are now in Glendale Stake. The Sunday we found out the news we also found out that our new stake has Youth Olympics throughout the month of January and it was starting the following Tuesday. Yikes!! Our youth were excited and ready to go!! Glendale Stake was very welcoming and all the kids made new friends fast. Everyone had a blast with Youth Olympics!

Music = Dancing
I love music. I love dancing.
I grew up always having music on in the house, ecpecially when we were cleaning. I will dance whenever and wherever I hear music. I like to listen to music when I run, but sometimes my running turns into dancing. I love going out with my sisters and we'll be shopping and a song comes on that is "danceable" (ya, it's a word!!) and we just break out in dance. Ya, we might get funny looks, but who cares? We don't.
I think we get our love of dancing from my mom. Check her out below. Shhh. Don't tell her I put this on here. ;)

Drivers License

Seth has gotten his drivers license!!! It's kinda scary and nice at the same time. Having another driver in the family is always good. He drives himself and Mallory to school, he offers to pick the other kids up from school, runs kids to friends houses and now he'll drive to the Saturday night dances. Like I said, scary and nice.
1st Pet Ever
So after 17 yrs. of marriage and 5 kids later we finally have a pet. Well, Seth our 16 yr old has a pet. Not a dog, cat or even a fish. It's a bearded dragon. I got a text from Seth asking if he can get a bearded dragon, it was only $10 and Zack (his cousin) has a tank for him. So after thinking it over for a day I said yes. After I said yes I told Seth, "It will not eat crickets!!" There was no way I was having crickets in my home on purpose. I hate them, even typing the word makes me cringe. So the little critter eats mealworms, that are in a bowl sitting in my fridge. It also eats fruits and veggies. But in the end I didn't pay anything for the little lizard, my nephew Zack got it for Seth and all the neccessities it needs. Zack, you're awesome!!
He is kinda cute for missing a foot and half a tail.

Noah and Levi are both doing cross-country at school. Levi was begging me to be in it this year, I wasn't sure if he was old enough and would really stick with it. But I was wrong he really likes it. He doesn't get first, he might even be 12th from last, but he doesn't care and either do I. I'm just glad he gives it his all and has fun while he's doing it. Noah really enjoys it too. He does really well and I can see him sticking with this through high school.
Texting Granny
My mom, who just turned 71, has now begun the adventure of texting.
She likes to send texts that really have no purpose. She also likes to add :) & lol to the end of all her texts. She also puts, "Guess Who" at the very end of her texts. Not sure if she thinks we don't know it's her or she's just being goofy.

This gorgeous couple is my niece Natalie and her husband Harold. First off let me just say they are awesome!!! Harold was deployed to Iraq last November and is coming home to his beautiful wife very soon after being away for a year. I am so thankful for the sacrifices made by Harold and the many others who serve our country. I am so happy for Natalie and Harold to be together again, and such great timing with the holidays right around the corner. Again, they are awesome!!!

Too Funny
Just a funny little story to tell. Today I went to my sister Lora's house and a few of the kids went with me. As we were leaving, Levi turned back and started heading back to the couch where Lora was sitting. Lora thought he was coming back to give her a hug goodbye, but instead he went and gave her dog Buffy a hug goodbye. It was pretty funny.
